Kinda slept in late due to not being able to fall asleep till like 6:30 in the morning. Also, I felt like watching some tv and what not, so I postponed the posting lol. So on to my blabbering...

Ok so I watch The L Word and I was saddened to find out next season will be the final one. I mean six seasons is a nice run, but I don't want to see it go. I have been watching the show for 3 years now and well with all shows people watch for years, it is hard to let them go. But wait! What is this? There is a spin-off in the works? *happy dance* Showtime has announced that spin-off for one, so far unnamed, character on The L Word.
"Showtime is working on a spinoff to its drama series "The L Word," which will have its final season bow early next year. Showtime president of entertainment Robert Greenblatt made the announcement Friday at the Television Critics Assn. press tour at the Beverly Hilton.

Greenblatt said the "L Word" spinoff is in the early stages and didn't offer up a lot of details. He did say that "L Word" creator/exec producer Ilene Chaiken is creating the spinoff, which will shoot after "L Word" wraps production on its sixth and final season this year. It will star one of the actresses from the drama series, which will end its run with an open-ended story line that will continue online. Should the spinoff get a series pickup, the story line will continue in the as-yet-untitled project.

Greenblatt said the chosen actress does not yet know it will feature her. Pressed for more details, he said only: "We're still forming it. I'm sure I have a million e-mails already from loyal viewers about it, but we're still in the process of figuring it out."
Can I just say YAY!!! My only question is who? Cause certain characters I will less likely want to watch on a new spin-off. The one's I would like to see are Alice, Shane, Helena, or Papi. Bette and Tina are a duo so they can't be it, Jenny is a bitch now and annoys me, Tasha is cool but I can't see much of a spin-off for her, Jodi just never connected with me much, Max same thing, and Phyllis annoyed me. Oh and Kit isn't a lesbian, but if the show was not about her personal life but more about The Planet, then maybe. See Alice has the whole chart thing going for her, Shane is the kind who is wild and always has some nice girl drama, Helena feels like a character we need to see more of, and Papi, well she is Papi and she can have some nice drama like Shane lol.

Okay on to other news. I watched another episode of The Secret Diary of a Call Girl last night and I shall just say now that it is really hard not to go watch the rest of the season online. Yeah, a lot of people probably think this is some trashy show given that it is about a prostitute. You know what though, it is a rather nice show and personally I see nothing wrong with her job. I mean she enjoys sex, so she decided that she might as well get paid for it. I mean other than the occasional scary client, gross guy, or odd requests, it doesn't sound that bad of a job. I wouldn't look at it as a future career choice for myself (and I am not referring to my lack of looks), but that is because I would be too afraid diseases and getting knocked up. But for anyone not worried about that and enjoys sex, why not go for it?

Oh and for those who don't know, the show is based of a blog located here.

Well that is all your going to get out of my tired ass right now. Really I have no idea why, but I am tired as hell regardless of how late I sleep in and the fact that I have only been up 4 hours. Maybe tomorrow I will right about myself...not that any of you really care about learning about me lol. I doubt anyone will ever even read this...*shrugs*

Some men aren't looking for anything logical...They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned or negotiated with. And I loved that bit said from him (see title). I also love the Joker, though the one in Dark Knight was a bit disappointing in my opinion. Yes, Heath Ledger did a good job. The issue was the make-up, hair, and the fact that the writers didn't give the Joker his full twisted humor psycho-ness. I mean this one doesn't seem much like the kind to go out and attempt to get a trademark on fish, which he did in the story "The Laughing Fish".

In the story "The Laughing Fish", the Joker is brazen enough to disfigure fish with a rictus grin, then expect to be granted a federal trademark on them, only to start threatening and attempting to murder bureaucrats who try to explain that obtaining such a claim on a natural resource is a legal impossibility. -Wikipedia (The Joker)

I will admit they got the whole no-plan aspect of him. I mean he is the kind of guy to walk up to someone and shoot them, not having any reason. Heck he could shoot everyone in a bank, but one person, and then hand that person a load of cash as he says, "Have a nice day."

Do I really look like a guy with a plan? I don't have a plan. The mob has plans, the cops have plans. You know what I am, Harvey? I'm a dog chasing cars. I wouldn't know what to do if I caught one. I just do things. I'm not a schemer. -the Dark Knight (2008)

This is why I love the Joker, though I do wish they had added more humor to him. There were really only a few funny things said by him. And well, him dressing as a nurse was pretty Joker...and the burning of money. Oh and that one where he claps in his cell as everyone else does because Gordon becomes commissioner. That was basically it. I think my main disappointment was that he didn't have any Joker venom. You know what I am talking about, that laughing gas like poison that killed his victims and put a smile on their face. Man I loved that stuff...

As for other things I didn't much like about the movie, Harley Quinn's no-show in the movie and Two-Face's limited time only appearance. Starting with my lovely gal, Harley, why was she not in it? She was a big part in the life of Mr. J. Okay, so maybe they planned for her to be in a later film, being a psychiatrist at Arkham Asylum who falls for the Joker and breaks him out, as in the graphic novel "Mad Love". This of course sucks because of the fact that our new Joker, Heath Ledger is dead.

Now what else sucks, is that we just lost a few villain choices for a next film. No Joker, even though his part seems necessary in the next film (if there is one), no Harley cause she needs her Mr. J, and no Two-Face. Why no for the latter? Because they killed him. That also bites because I liked how he was a chance kinda man and man did I love his coin. You never really knew if he was going to kill you or not.

Two-Face: [Flips a coin: It's Heads] You're a lucky man. [Flips it again: Tails] But he's not. [Buckles seat belt]

Sal Maroni: Who?

Two-Face: Your driver. [Shoots the driver and car crashes]

So yeah that's my first post...Any other news? Well I will post it in the morning cause I do have a few things to talk about such as new news regarding the L Word and possibly opinions on whatever I see on Secret Diary of a Call Girl. If I mention the later I will probably go on to talk about Doctor Who, since Billie Piper was in that too, and Torchwood, cause it's a spin-off. Then who knows, I may go off about all sorts of shows...and maybe I will finally talk about myself. *shrugs* Who knows...Well, until next time!

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://mad-love-harlequin.blogspot.com/2008/07/some-men-arent-looking-for-anything.html' title='Some men aren't looking for anything logical...They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned or negotiated with.
